Good quality reels that fit around 100 meters of monofilament lines with strength rate around 20lbs or multifilament lines with strength rate around 50lbs.

Fishing lures

  1. Surface lure models, such as zara, popper and stickbait, sized between 7 and 15cm (approx. 2.8’’ and 5’’), with or without rattling and various colors, make a difference when fishing Tucunarés (Peacock Bass), Cachorras (Payara), Bicudas (Spotted pike-characin) and specially the brute Trairões (Hoplias lacardae).
  2. Midwater fishing lure models, sized between 7 and 15cm (approx. 2.8’’ and 5’’), with or without rattling and various colors.
  3. Deep water fishing lure models: plugs with long eyelets, sized between 7 and 12cm (approx. 2.8’’ and 4.7’’), with or without rattling and various colors.
  4. Jigs and metal jigs, sized between 7 and 12cm (approx. 2.8’’ and 4.7’’), with or without rattling and various colors, make a difference when fishing big Corvinas (Silver Croakers).
  5. Spinners and spoons sized between 5 and 8cm (approx. 2’’ and 3’’), in golden or silver color, make difference when fishing Matrinxã (Brycon).

Casting

  1. Monofilament fishing lines: soft with strength rate between 17 and 25lbs; multifilament fishing lines with strength rate around 50lbs.
  2. Short shank hooks, including the circle hook models, sizes between 2 and 3, are crucial when using the tapping technique to fish big and round fish – Tambaqui (black pacu) and Pirapitinga for example.
